Christie Lewis has been doing Pilates at IPTC for 6 years. She started right after the birth of her 3rd youngest, Lyla Jane. She has three children- Olivia, William and Lyla Jane. She is the new PTA President at her children’s school so she will definitely be needing A LOT of Pilates in her life to de-stress!
Christie has a masters degree in Speech Pathology. WOW!! She has a passion for interior design and recently opened her own business. She drinks way too much diet coke 🙂 , loves shopping, and loves Lululemon (who doesn’t?).
We love having Christie at IPTC and feel lucky to be a part of her busy day. We wish her the best in her new business and PTA adventures! Much love from all of us at IPTC! XO.
Dr. Rick Campbell is our client spotlight for the month of July. This fall will mark his 3rd year at IPTC. Dr. Campbell is a class favorite. He brings great energy to every class and private session and keeps everyone entertained and on their toes! He practices Pilates 5-7 times a week and appreciates the emphasis on correct form, posture, and BREATHING!
Dr. Campbell is married to the love of his life, Katherine. Together they have “two grown and successfully launched girls”. They also have 2 dogs, Rose and Winston, as well as a cat named Milo. Dr. Campbell owns and manages Willow Creek Pet Center. His favorite time of day is 4:30am because it is so peaceful and quiet. The only thing awake at that time is his dog Rose who wants breakfast and a walk at sunrise. He loves to golf and his favorite pastime is being with his wife. His favorite quote is “Common sense is not that common”.
IPTC loves and appreciates Dr. Rick Campbell and his dedication to IPTC. We feel so lucky to be able to see him practically every day and know it is going to be a good time whenever he is on the schedule.Thank you, Thank you Dr. Campbell!!!! XO
My name is Alexis Asher, and I have been a client at IPTC for about two years now. I am currently a professional boxer and Muay Thai fighter, and was former amateur Golden Gloves and Metros champion of New York. I suffered a series of serious injuries which forced to take about two years off working out. I started Pilates as a last resort when physical therapy and muscle relaxers were not helping my injuries, (a fractured lumbar and then two torn rotator cuffs) or my mental well-being. Pilates has ended my chronic back pain, and has improved my posture greatly. I also feel that Pilates has made my core MUCH stronger, and has balanced my body more.
The instructors at IPTC are extremely knowledgeable, and are all Stott Pilates® certified. It was hard to trust anyone after seeing a variety of doctors and trainers who could not help my back pain, but the knowledge of the IPTC teachers regarding anatomy and injuries, as well as their empathy was a relief to find. Every class is new and challenging, and constructive toward functional movement. I love taking Jenny Carr’s reformer classes or Amanda Bennion’s, and I love taking Jenn J.’s Barre and reformer classes. Every instructor has their own style and flavor, so it has been fun trying all the different classes. Besides having fun, I am grateful just for the huge improvement my health has benefited from by taking Pilates at IPTC. I am able to box and kick box again free of pain, and this makes me grateful and joyful. Thank you IPTC!!!
